About

Engineering built on real manufacturing experience.

One engineer with deep hands-on experience across PCB design, embedded firmware, power electronics, and the full manufacturing pipeline — from first prototype to mass production.

EW

The Engineer

Direct experience from schematic to production line.

Embedded Works is a solo practice built on years of hands-on engineering across high-current power electronics, multi-layer PCB design, ESP32 and STM32 firmware, and embedded user interfaces. Every project is handled directly by the same engineer who reviews the requirement, designs the board, writes the firmware, and coordinates manufacturing.

The work is not theoretical. It is shaped by repeated engagement with real manufacturers: JLCPCB for fast prototypes, NextPCB for complex multi-layer boards with impedance control, and direct relationships with component suppliers and cable manufacturers for assembly-ready products. The result is hardware that is easier to build, test, and scale.

What Sets This Work Apart

Manufacturing fluency, not just design theory.

Many designers can draw a schematic. Fewer have shipped boards through real fabrication, assembly, and field testing with the manufacturers who will build your product. That difference shows up in every decision: stackup choices, connector placement, test-point strategy, BOM alternates, and cable integration.

Direct Manufacturer Relationships

Long-standing direct relationships with JLCPCB and NextPCB for everything from quick-turn prototypes to controlled-impedance, multi-layer production runs. Fast quoting, fewer DFM rejections, and better pricing because the files are prepared correctly the first time.

Component Sourcing & BOM Optimization

Active Alibaba and distributor relationships for sourcing hard-to-find components, finding cost-effective alternates, and building BOMs that stay available through production. No last-minute surprises when a part goes obsolete.

Cable & Assembly Integration

Established cable manufacturers and assembly partners for custom harnesses, connector systems, and enclosure-ready integration. The board is designed knowing exactly how the cables, connectors, and housing will come together.

Impedance & Stackup Control

Hands-on experience with controlled stackups, impedance calculations, and high-speed routing for reliable signal integrity. Proper layer assignments, via strategies, and return-path planning from the first revision.

High-Current & Thermal Design

100A+ ESC design, large power distribution boards, and thermal management for demanding UAV, robotics, and industrial applications. Copper strategy, heat sinking, and connector derating are planned, not guessed.

Firmware-Aware Hardware

Boards are planned so firmware, debug, boot modes, sensors, and communication are not afterthoughts. Bring-up notes, test points, and flashing access are part of the design, not fixes applied later.

How I Work

No handoffs. No gaps. One engineer, end to end.

When you hire Embedded Works, you work with the same person from the first requirement call through schematic, layout, firmware, testing, and manufacturing handoff. There is no project manager filtering messages, no junior engineer inheriting half-finished files, and no surprises when the board reaches the factory.
